Male giraffes tend to be in between 16 to 18 feet tall, and females are usually slightly shorter than the males. Looking at anatomical diagrams, the tail is not very long, coming down to just below the ribcage, so if left to "unfurl", I would say that the spine is about as long as the giraffe is tall. Incidentally, did you know that both humans and giraffes have seven bones in their necks? I hope this helps
